Livonia, MI 48154
Update: Please call the following Senators to voice your concerns about the annexation:
- Mike Bishop - (517) 373-2417
- Alan Cropsey - (517) 373-3760 / Toll Free: 866-305-2133
- Randy Richardville - (517) 373-3543
Urge them to pass House Bill 5779 so it can quickly be signed by the Governor.
The developer who bought the land on 7 mile and Haggerty, the former Northville Psychiatric hospital, moved people onto the property and had them petition to annex to Livonia. We know that he was planning to do that even before he purchased the land. Northville does not get a say in the matter, and the mayor of Livonia and the city council really want it to be part of Livonia.
If you do not live in Northville, please find your Senator listed below, and call him/her on Monday and tell them:
"I would like the Senator to support the Corriveau 'Meadows Bill on Annexation'"
If you live in Northville north of 8 Mile, call Senator Cassis.
To all of the out state people you know who live in any of the communities listed below: Call them and tell them to call their Republican Senator (listed below) and say: "I would like the Senator to support the Corriveau (rhymes with go) - Meadows Bill on annexation" Tell the people you know that they will ask for their address, so make sure they live in the their Senator's district. If you have a friend who's town is not listed, you can look up their Senator here.
You must do this on Monday June 23, 2008!! The vote could be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, we need 2/3's majority to get immediate effect to block the Livonia vote. We need at least 9 Republicans including our Senator Patterson, whom we know will vote for it. Forward this list to everyone in your contacts. One call represents 100 constituent votes.
